Once you’ve accumulated enough SB, you can swap them for PayPal cash (with a minimum of $1), free gift cards from popular retailers like Amazon, eBay, Starbucks, and many online shopping sites.

In addition to earning SB for things like taking surveys and watching videos, you can also earn SB by shopping on the Swagbucks website or through the Swagbucks app.

Joining is free, with no need to pay a single cent, and you can receive up to 20% cash back on eligible purchases.

How Does Swagbucks Work?

Signing up for a Swagbucks account is easy; go to swagbucks.com, enter your name and email address, and create a password for your account. For convenience, you can also sign up with Gmail or Apple ID.

Once you have signed up for an account, Swagbucks will give you a bonus of up to 100 SB ($1)* for joining.

*bonus will vary depending on tasks, promotions, and other factors.

Don’t forget to validate your email address and check your spam folder; the email might accidentally get sent there.

To get started, log into your Swagbucks account, and you will be shown a list of easy point earners to get you started earning SB points.

Or skip the suggested point earners, go to your homepage and use the Swagbucks Search Engine to find coupons that interest you and save money.

From your Homepage you can;

1. Navigate to the different ways to earn SB points.
2. Use the SB search engine to find products, coupons, and everyday items.
3. Access the Daily Bonus and your Account page.

For each activity you take through Swagbucks, you will earn Swagbucks Points (SB) that you can redeem for rewards such as gift cards, coupons, or cash.

The SB amount you earn per task varies depending on the activity or promotion.

Ways To Earn More Swagbucks Rewards.

There are many ways to earn rewards; it’s one of the strengths of Swagbucks as a rewards platform– plenty of ways to earn more cash. I tested some popular ways to make more SBs; here’s a summary.

Answer (Online Surveys and Polls)

Surveys are my favorite way to earn SB, and it could be yours too. On average, surveys pay between 100 SB and 300 SB per survey you complete.

Some surveys require you to answer pre-qualification questions to see if you are a good match. Unfortunately, sometimes those answers will disqualify you from that surey, even after you have started. Even though it may be inconvenient, you can still earn a few points for your time, as you can see it happened to me but I still received 1 SB each time.

By providing an accurate profile, you will be better matched to surveys – meaning less disqualifications.

There are four main types of online surveys you can take to grow your Swagbucks account balance;

1. Answer Surveys

These are your bread-and-butter surveys, the highest-paying ones that will give you the most money. You can make anywhere from 20 SB to 500+ SB per survey, and it will take 5 to 45 minutes to finish.

2. Survey Profile

Right next to your Answer Surveys, you will discover Your Survey Profile. By answering ten quick multiple-choice questions, you can earn an additional 2SB – admittedly not a huge payout, but it’s still a simple way to accumulate more SBs!

3. Daily Polls

A daily poll is an effortless way to add one SB point to your balance daily. It’s as easy as it sounds–all you have to do is answer a single question! Although the reward may not seem like much (1 SB), there’s no easier way of earning points with minimal effort.

4. Peanut Lab Surveys

Score yourself SB by engaging with businesses and marketers. In return for their free offers, you give them your info, register for free samples, or complete an online survey. You can also get additional points if you donate funds to charities, subscribe to trials at no cost, and buy new items and services they offer.

Spend a few minutes daily printing coupons, and you’ll save on the things you purchase and be rewarded with Swagbucks.

Coupons that can be redeemed for 25 SBs each, with a maximum of 50 SBs daily! Earn cash back when you shop online, buy your groceries, eat out or even pay for your prescriptions.

You will purchase these things anyway, so why not get the best price, save some money and earn points? It’s a no-brainer, do it!

Discover (Offers and Free Samples)

Benefit from Swagbucks brand power by bagging yourself deals and special offers from Swagbucks brand partners. This works similarly to Peanut Lab in that you will be taken ‘off-site’ to the website of the brand offering the deal.

Keep in mind not all of these offers are free. Some of the offers require you no make a payment, and others ask for you to signup, so make sure you know what you are getting into.

Although these offer types don’t work well for me, they may be just what you are looking for! There are plenty of new products and high-paying opportunities that might interest you.

Games (Play games and earn)

Get ready to make the most of your downtime playing online games! Earn SB by playing free original games and earn gift cards or buy in-game items to ramp up your SB earnings.

What’s more? You can get a whopping 12-15 SBs per dollar spent on select games – now that’s putting the fun back into earning money online!

Watch

Some like to read, while others prefer to watch videos. I like both 🙂 With Swagbucks, you can earn extra SB by watching short videos on trending topics such as entertainment news, cooking recipes, technology, and many more.

You can earn 1-2 SB for watching half an hour of video content. More than ten categories are available to choose from; each is worth up to 2 SBs. Every time you click on a category, your browser opens with the playlist with three videos – but no need for complete viewing!

You only have to watch up to 60 seconds per video, as shown by a timer running on the browser’s tab, before moving on to the next. Your screens will pause when you tab away from the video screen and resume when you return.

Search (Swagbucks Search Engine)

If you are anything like me, no day passes without using a search engine! I bet that’s you too! Use the Swagbucks search engine (powered by Yahoo) just like any other web browser, and you will be rewarded with SB points.

Remember, though – don’t try to game the system; this could result in an account suspension. Make sure your searches are authentic and only click links you genuinely want to know more about.

Daily Bonus (Get on a streak)

Completing the Daily Bonus helps you keep on track with accumulating points and rewards you for consistency. If you earn 30 points by completing the suggested tasks, reaching Goal 1, you will get a bonus of 3 SB and if you reach Goal 2 (70 SB) you get an additional 2 SB.

How Much Can You Earn From Swagbucks Surveys?

On average, each survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, and you’ll earn 40-100 SBs for your effort. Each SB is worth $0.01, so you can earn anywhere from $0.40-$1.00 per survey.

If you were to complete five surveys daily, that would amount to $2-5 a day – or around $6 an hour.

Swagbucks Points – What Are They Worth?

Swagbucks points are worth $0.01 each, and 100 add up to $1. That means if you have 500 Swagbucks points, you have earned $5 worth of rewards.

How To Cashout Swagbucks Points.

Cashing out your Swagbucks points is straightforward. With just a few clicks, you can redeem them for gift cards or shop online with the PayPal cash you’ve earned.

To get your rewards, go to the Rewards page; click on your Account (top right of screen) , then click ‘Redeem Your SB’, which will lead you the the Rewards page. From there, choose how you would like to cash out your bucks.

PayPal Cash

You can cash out your SB points for PayPal cash and shop online. Your money will be deposited into your PayPal account within 1-3 days (though they say allow up to 10 days), and you’ll receive a confirmation email from Swagbucks once the process is complete. The minimum cashout amount for PayPal cash is 500 SB (equivalent to $5). You will need to verify your Paypal account before payments will be sent.

Gift Cards

If you’d instead shop directly with your Swagbucks points, you can redeem them for gift cards from more than several popular retailers. From Amazon and Apple to Airbnb and Target, Swagbucks has a gift card for everyone. To redeem your points for gift cards, select ‘Gift Cards’ from the Rewards page on the website. The minimum cashout amount is 300 SBs (equivalent to $3). It usually takes 1-2 business days for the gift card code to arrive.
